Who We Are

Makron Engineering is a boutique engineering company located at the foothills of the Adirondacks in Broadalbin, New York.  Makron Engineering provides design services of on-site septic systems, residential home design, commercial building design, site development, plot planning, storm water drainage, and water treatment design.  

Makron Engineering is owned and operated by Mark de Jong, also of de Jong Excavation. Mark is a licensed Professional Mechanical Design Engineer, Environmental Remediation Design Engineer and graduate of Union College. Before forming his own companies, de Jong worked on projects for Philips Electronics in the Netherlands and served as a Project Engineer at Malcom Pirnie in Clifton Park, NY for seven years where he was responsible for ground water and soil remediation system designs.

de Jong is a Certified Excavator and member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Makron Engineering works hand-in-hand with de Jong Excavation to serve as a one-stop-shop for all your professional septic design and installation needs, as well as numerous other residential and small commercial projects.
